Vitalie Gamurari: Politicians' selfishness is beyond citizens' interests
Vitalie Gamurari, the spokesman of PDM announced the party's opinion regarding the elections that will take place on May 20. The candidates for the City Hall elections focus on the politics debates and they don't take into consideration the interests of the Capital residents. It is political selfishness of some opposite parties, that consider themselves to be pro European.
"PDM doesn't have a candidate, but we are monitoring the elections campaign. We noticed that there are a lot of right wing parties. On the other side, we can see the monopoly PSRM has", said Vitalie Gamurari.
Also, Vitalie Gamurari said denied the rumors about the thing that PDM supports a certain candidate for the Capital mayor elections.
"It is pretty clear that the debates focus on the politics and geopolitical aspect, also, the candidates say that a certain person is supported by the Democratic Party. If we analyze the declarations of the experts regarding the candidates that will pass into the second round, then we noticed that the majority of the ones who participate at the elections take part of PDM", said Vitalie Gamurari.
According to a survey, Vitalie Gamurari said that the Capital residents are tired of the political debates and they want changes. Gamurari declared that the survey won't be published, because they don't want PDM to be accused of supporting a certain candidate in this elections campaign.
"The survey's results showed that the Capital residents want a change. In the previous years, the Chisinau City Hall has proven that the main problems of the Capital residents were ignored. This survey shows that the citizens are full of promises, they want concrete changes. We should be aware that some of the candidates will be criticized by the Capital residents, after the elections", said Gamurari.
The Capital elections will take place on May 20.
