Vlad Plahotniuc: DPM is ready for negotiations. What do other parties say
The DPM result at the February 24 elections is a very good one. This declaration belongs to Vlad Plahotniuc, the chairman of the party.
"Thanks everybody who voted for DPM, the party members and our supporters from the whole country. We will continue to improve Moldova. Thanks the residents who voted on No.17 constituency from Nisporeni, Lozova, Micleuseni and Dolna villages from Straseni. You have shown you trust me and the 72% of voted that I gained show it. Thanks the residents of Grozesti village for their support, as I gained 94% on this constituency", said the chairman of DPM.
Vlad Plahotniuc mentioned that DPM gained 18 mandates on the constituencies. The results on the national constituency are the following ones: PSRM - 32,67%, which gives them 33 mandates, PDM - 30,68%,31 mandates, ACUM - 26,73% , 27 mandates, Șor party- 6,93%, 7 mandates, independent candidates- 2,97%, 3 mandates.
Vlad Plahotniuc thanked everybody who voted for DPM, but also his colleagues.
"Congratulations to all of you who got involved in these elections. Even the ones who did't win did a great job. Thanks everybody", declared the politician.
The DPM president also said that the party had a great success within the referendum.
According to the preliminary results of the CEC, at the question to reduce number of MPs from 101 to 61: 790,784 voters opted YEA while 200,812 voters opted NAY.
At the question to dismiss deputies who fail to fulfill their commitments, 733,125 voters opted YEA while 260,758 opted NAY.
It requires a third of voters registered in the electoral lists for validation of referendum.
Minutes of voting results are to reach CEC by 26 February.
The Commission is due to send the decision on the results of the referendum to the Constitutional Court by March 4 who will state validation of the results by March 14.
Vlad Plahotniuc congratulated all the parties involved in these elections. The highlighted that beyond the competition, it is important not be mad at each other, because the citizens need them. At the same time, Vlad Plahotniuc announced that the Democratic Party is ready for the negotiations for a Hung parliament. Only by negotiating, they can start fulfilling their responsibilities. In this sense, DPM said that the democrats are available to start discussing.
"We want to start the negotiations. We have a target, to continue to good things that we started. We want to continue improving our country. The thing we need to focus on is the citizens' interest. People need actions, not words", pointed out DPM chairman.
The representatives of the socialists declared that they don't want to comment on this declaration. The representatives of ACUM also refused to talk on this subject. Previously, Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase said that they will not make coalition with DPM, PSRM or SOR party. Moreover, they even signed a public document which shows they will not make coalition with any of the parties. SOR party will come up with a reaction a little bit later.
"I am ready to convoke the Parliament's session as soon as possible. I don't see a point to postpone it until March 15 or 16", declared Igor Dodon, the President of the country.
At the same time, the president of the country mentioned that he is ready to announce a candidate for prime minister office.
"If it is not possible to find a common language and I want to emphasize between the parties, not between the parties and the independents, I think the best alternative is the coalition between the parties, not the minority governments, not the party and the transgressors, then I will plead for dissolution faster parliamentary elections and early parliamentary elections", said Igor Dodon, the president of the country.
Igor Dodon added that in case of snap elections, he pledges for these to take place on the same day as the local elections.
