Government Reshuffles. The Cabinet of Ministers will have two new Ministers. It is the Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Health and the Minister of Agriculture and Regional Development. The announcement of the changes in the Executive was made by PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc after the weekly meeting of the Democratic Party of Moldova.
Ms. Silvia Radu is headed by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, and Nicolae Ciubuc has been nominated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.
"At the last reshuffle in the winter, I said very clearly that the ministers' evaluation will be made by the citizens, being the direct beneficiaries of the Government's activity. And the fact that we are a few months of the elections does not mean that we do not have to make changes if that is what people ask Together with the Prime Minister, we agreed on the changes of cadres that need to be made.
People who have been replaced by jobs have done serious work, but have done their job, but citizens want more quality in their respective fields, they will have faster results and more direct communication with the heads of the institutions concerned. Moreover, in areas subject to reshuffle, ample modernization projects are to be launched and a more efficient and courageous managerial approach is needed", said Vlad Plahotniuc.
Silvia Radu was born in Hancesti. Her profession is a lawyer and a psychologist. She started his activity in the energy sector in 1995. Subsequently, during the period 2008-2015, he led Gas Natural Fenosa.
Radu served as interim mayor of the capital from November 2017 to April 2018, when she filed a request to be suspended on the grounds that she was acting as an independent candidate at the 20 May local elections.
According to CEC data, she obtained 17.65 percent of the votes. After the poll, Silvia Radu announced her resignation as deputy mayor.
Silvia Radu is married with Virgiliu Radu, with whom she has three children: a boy and two girls.
Nicolae Ciubuc is director of the Intervention and Payment Agency for Agriculture. He holds this position since September 2016. During 2010-2016 he was deputy head of AIPA. Ciubuc began his career at the Ministry of Agriculture in 2004 as a consultant of the Legal Division and Harmonization of Legislation. Three years later he was appointed Deputy Head of the same department. Subsequently, he held high positions within "Moldagroteh" and at the Center for Standardization and Experimentation on Quality of Canned Production and was a member of the Board of Directors of a bakery mixer in the country. Nicolae Ciubuc studied at the Faculty of Law of the State University and is a Master in Public Management. He is 37, is married and raised a child.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc announced last week after the meeting of the National Political Council of the party that changes will be made to the composition of the executive.
Changes will be made on the basis of the results of the ministers' work, carried out together with experts and citizens, during the meetings in the territory. The reshuffle initiative belongs to Prime Minister Pavel Filip, who intends to increase the performance of the government team he leads.
The last changes in the composition of the Cabinet of Ministers took place in December 2017. Then the number of portfolios was reduced from 16 to nine and vice-ministry posts were replaced by posts of state secretaries.
Also, the post of Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration was established.
