Warehouse in Chisinau closed for serious legislation breaches
Grave breaches of legislation were detected in the activity of an economic agent, specializing in wholesale trade of counterfeit food and alcoholic products.
According to law enforcers, the decision makers of the company assured counterfeiting of products with toxic substances. The investigations started on site, and together with the employees of the Centre for Public Health, the policemen have established that the trader has no operating license and no conditions provided for storage of food and alcohol.
Following evidence found at the scene, the enterprise activity was stopped immediately, considering the unsanitary conditions and ransacked rooms. In this context the enterprise decision makers have admitted a series of violations relating to the conduct of business activities without authorization, license or certificate issued by a competent authority under the law.
Under the legislation in force, police will impose sanctions in the form of fines in size from 2,000 to 6,000 lei with notification of authorized institutions in the field to conduct further investigations and clandestine warehouse was sealed according to the procedure. It is worth mentioning that the warehouse was camouflaged within a center for children and youth in the capital.
