Warm temperatures from December allowed citizens to save money on heating bills
The warm temperatures of this winter has allowed citizens of Moldova to save money on heating bills.
According to "Infocom", those who live in apartments smaller than 50 square meters, from December, have payed around 750 lei, by 23 lei less than in the same month in 2016.
While those who have apartments between 50 and 100 square metes had to spend 1 150 lei, by 111 lei less than last year.
When speaking of owners of over 100 square meter apartments, they save up 70 lei on their heating bills, having paid for December 1 560 lei.
Around 21% of citizens had to pay less than 500 lei for keeping their apartments warm in December. Another 12% had to bear the cost of around 2 000 lei.
Recently, the prices jumped in March. At the time, the price of a gigacalories rose by 5,1%, reaching 1 122 lei.
