People throwing garbage from the glass, leave garbage bags in the yards of residential blocks, in the street, or those who store construction waste at waste collection platforms risk being sanctioned by contravention. According to the head of the Sanitation and Sanitation Section within the General Directorate of Housing and Communal Planning (DGLCA), Vasile Efros, there are cases where some tenants simply throw away the garbage bag from the balcony.
Another problem is disposing of construction waste at waste collection platforms. As a rule, those who admit these irregularities make it at night so they will not be seen by the tenants. The same is true for bulky waste - cabinets, beds, or vegetal waste.
Since the beginning of this year, the police have produced some 1,900 minutes for violating cleanliness rules in urban and rural areas. The fines range from 18 to 36 conventional units.
The Code of Conduct provides for sanctions for breach of waste management rules, which range from 12 to 30 conventional units for individuals.
In the case of legal persons, fines can even reach up to 300 conventional units.
