Natural gas transmission company, Transgaz became a shareholder of Vestmoldtransgaz, property transfer being its final stage, wrote digi24.ro.

According to the declaration made on Thursday, by Director General of Transgaz, Ion Sterian, Republic of Moldova will be connected to the European natural gas network no later than in the first half of 2020.

The declarations were made at Gas Infrastructure Europe, which took place in Bucharest. Extending the pipeline Iași Ungheni Chișinău to Republic of Moldova will allow it to import gas from Romania, the Black Sea and also from northern Greece.
