A multi-task arena does not only guarantee the development of the sport, but the development of the whole country. Such an arena was built in Minsk. This attracts international competitions, but also famous artists.

The multi-task complex from Minsk has a velodrom, a skating rink and, most importantly, an ice palace where hockey is played. Minsk-Arena construction started in 2006, and in 2009 the velodrome was put into operation. The track has a length of 250 meters and a separate roller band.

In January 2010, there ice palace was opened. 28 types of sport are played there.

"On Friday, the Minsk Arena hosted a hockey match, while on Saturday, a basketball match. On Sunday, another hokey match took place here", said Artur Joli, the spokesman of Minsk-Arena.

The Arena from the Capital of Belarus also hosts concerts.

"After the inauguration of the Arena, many famous artists came here. There wasn't a place to organize big concerts before in Minsk."

The multi-task arena can also serve as a movie set. 

"The Arena looks alike the Forum from Montreal", said Artur Joli.

In a year, such an arena will be built in Chisinau. The building works have already started.

A Turkish company started to build the arena that will lay on a surface of 10 ha. It will be able to host five thousand people.
