Winter traditions revived at Winter Tales festival in Crihana Veche, Cahul

The beautiful winter customs and heritage were revived today in Crihana Veche village, Cahul district. There took place the third edition of the Festival "Winter Tales". At the event participated etnofolk groups from the country and abroad.
The oldest goat mask presented at the event is over 30 years old. Its owner says that he made it when he was 12 years old and will preserve it to give it to his children
Some participants made the masks on the eve of the festival.
At the event participated folk groups from the southern part of Moldova and from Romania and Ukraine.
"The goat" is one of the most common traditions of winter holidays in localities of Moldova and Romania.
