Without water and sewage in Bălți! People are forced to come up with their own solutions
While for some countries living in the 21st century the idea of not having water is unreal, a few hundreds of households from Bălți are still not connected to sewage or water. People claim that they solved the issue with hand-made devices in their gardens. For example, the Topol spouses, who lived for the past 40 years on Cerneahovski street, had to dig a sewage hole.
To save money on pumping out the water from the hole, the owners sometimes throw it wherever.
"We try and do our best. The cleaner water is used in the garden, while the dirty one is thrown into the hole, so it will not fill up as fast" Olga Topol said.
"This is a big problem. I am also thinking of digging a sewage hole myself."
Others use metal containers to gather the dirty water.
"We have a metal container. The water used to wash dishes and from the bathroom is gathered there" Elena Cazareţcaia said.
Authorities from Bălți refused to say when the problem will be solved.
"All the questions will be answered by the City Hall's person responsible for the press."
The director of the city's sewage company claims that some projects exist, but they are not being implemented.
"The City Hall did not examined lately the inclusion of expenses for sewage works. I do not know the reason, but I am sure that there are sewage projects for multiple sectors of the city" director of Glorin Inginerin, Igor Golberg said.
According to TVN, 11 000 household from Bălți are not connected to the central sewage system.
