A woman from Bălți was arrested by Anticorruption officers and prosecutors for influence peddling. Supposedly, the suspect took money, claiming that she can organize for driver's licenses being issued.

According to the investigation, two men reported her for requesting 500 euro from each in exchange for a B category driver's license. After it failed, the suspect requested another 1 500 lei from each of them to solve the problem.

Last afternoon anticorruption officers have searched her house and managed to find school papers, including that of the two people who reported the case, which confirmed her activity. The woman was named a suspect under the article 326 of the Penal Code - influence peddling and arrested for 72 hours. If found guilty, the woman risks to 6 years of imprisonment or a fine to 200 000 lei.

It was also established that the woman is implicated in a case, examined by the court, for fraud.
