She had courage and invested in an absolutely new field for Moldova. This is Angela Sobol, who four years ago decided to start a gluten-free cereal business.
She opened a factory in her native village and started working. Now, she wants to export flakes without preservatives in Romania, but for that she needs cardboard packaging. Her dream can be realized thanks to a grant offered by the Association of Moldovan Businessmen.
Gluten-free cereals are recommended for people suffering from celiac disease but also for those who want to eat healthy. The flakes are sweetened only with natural sugar and colored with cocoa powder.
"Everything is mechanized at this factory. From there, there are special shapes that shape this product further, pass through the heating furnace, drying and after that, packing is produced."
"I answer the corn blend and all the additives that are put, but I want to tell you that they are natural additives, we work without preservatives, without dyes."
This is a family business. Angela is helped by her parents. Her father, for example, has been with her since she won her first grant and bought the machine.
"This project was won, the inventory was brought, but then it had to look for room, search, install, make documents, design."
Angela is very ambitious. Although grain is sold quite well in the country, she wants to export. It's just that they have to invest in packaging the products.
So she made a business plan and applied to a competition organized by the Businessmen's Association. She received a grant of 50,000 lei to purchase cardboard boxes.
"We have to put a minimum of 30,000 on our calculations, and we have to put on a minimum game that we have to start with. The investment is pretty good for our small budget, but we hope to be a cornerstone that will help us we make the jump to get our products out for export, "said business woman Angela Sobol.
A packet of gluten-free cereals produced in Floresti costs about 15 lei.
