Moldova will receive $27 million from the World Bank in order to cope with the climate change. Money will be provided until 2020 and will be used to strengthen the national natural disaster management system.
According to Alex Kremer, the financial assistance will help reduce natural risks, similar to those produced on April 21st when a strong snowfall hit Moldova. Since 1992, the World Bank has allocated over one billion US dollars for about 60 Moldovan projects.
