The blood is an important source both for the planned treatment and for the emergency interventions. The blood transfusion saves millions of lives each year. Sometimes, it is even the only change to save a life. The blood is required for treating the wounded in exceptional situations (natural disasters, accidents and so on) and it also has an essential role to save maternal and perineal life.

The world practice proves that only the people who donate blood have a minim risk to transmit any illnesses through their blood.

In this sense, on June 14, the World Day of Blood Donation, everybody who wants to donate blood is welcomed in the Square of the Stefan cel Mare Public Garden, between 9 am and 3 pm.

The volunteers only need to have an ID and be older than 18.

June 7 –  „Jumbo”,  23/1 Decebal boulevard,(between 10.00 and 16.00)

June 8 –   Miron Costin Square, (between 09.00 and 15.00)

June 9 – Ciocana branch , 4/3 Mircea cel Batran boulevard ,(between 09.00 and 15.00)

June 14 - National Blood Transfusion Academy, 11 Academiei street (between 08.00 and 15.00)
