World Health Organization declared that citizens of Moldova are healthier than Russians, Ukrainians and Romanians. The study has taken into account obesity, smoking and drinking.
The statistics have shown that 91% of registered deaths in Moldova are cause by non transmissible diseases, which resulted from an unhealthy lifestyle. While Romania falls closely behind in those categories, at 93%.
The most unhealthy country from the world being declared Czech Republic. According to World Health Organization, on average each Czech citizen consumes 14 liters of alcohol per year. Being closely followed behind by Russia, Slovenia, Belarus, Slovakia and Hungary.
The healthiest country in the world is declared Afghanistan. People from there, on average, smoke 83 cigarettes per year and consume the least quantity of alcohol. This is all due to the law forbidding possessing and consuming strong alcoholic beverages.
The study was made based on 179 countries.
