Two young Moldovans have illegally tried to cross the state border to reach an EU country. But the Border Police cut their attempt short.

The men aged 19 and 24 are from a village in the northern district of Soroca. They have told the police they wanted a better living and better job in the EU.

They have also told the law-enforcers they tried to cross the border secretly because they did want that their relatives and fellow villagers knew where they were, because of some conflicts.

The police is probing the case.
