14 enthusiasts who tested nine electric and hybrid cars returned home.
"The car gets charged in 12-14 hours. It depends on the charger."
Adrian Pascaru is the one who tested the cars along the ride. The man says that the cars faced the challenges.
"The temperature was high, thus, the battery lasted longer", said Adrian Pascaru, motorist.
The drivers have been in Chisinau, Soroca, Drochia, Balti and Ungheni. Daily, the cars were driving over one hundred kilometers. Igor Oleinov is among the drivers who participated at the experiment.
Ilie Toma, the organizer of the experiment says that the cars are more economic and less harmful for the environment.
"One of the cars we have here rides 170 kilometers, after being charged for 50-60 lei. Thus, this is three times cheaper than the cars that use diesel", said Ilie Toma, organizer of the event.
Now, in Moldova there are only five charging stations for electric cars and all are placed in Chisinau. Now, 14 more stations will be installed all over Moldova.
"Our target is to support Chisinau and all the towns from Moldova, help these to be cleaner", said Stefan Lilller, PNUD representative.
Now, in Moldova there are 86 electric cars and over 7 600 hybrid ones.
