Cristina Balan presented the copies of the letters of accreditation as the Ambassador of Moldova to the United States to the Deputy Chief of Protocol to the US State Department, Katherine Henderson. The meeting was also attended by Jorgan Andrews, Director of the Office of Eastern European Affairs within the U.S. Department of State.

During the meeting, the officials spoke of perspectives to develop bilateral relations between Moldova and the USA, having reconfirmed the common commitment to strengthen the Strategic Dialogue RM – USA and cooperation in all fields.

Ambassador of Moldova to the United States presented actions planned for the near future in cooperation with USA and assured the State Department that she is determined to contribute in making relations between Moldova and United States more dynamic, expressing her hopes for collaboration with USA's Administration.

Katherine Henderson and Jorgan Andrews have wished the best of luck to Ambassador Cristina Balan in her mandate and assured her of USA's full support in achieving the aims to consolidate bilateral relations.
