Avia Invest pays off debt and requests termination of insolvency proceedings
The company Avia Invest announces that it has paid its debts to the state, in a total amount of almost 33 million lei and requests the termination of the insolvency proceedings.
In a press release, the manager of Chisinau International Airport presented a copy of the bailiff's conclusion regarding the termination of the execution process that was the basis of the insolvency procedure. Thus, Avia Invest declares that it has no debt to the Civil Aviation Authority.
"The way in which the investor of Chisinau International Airport was and continues to be treated also raises an alarm signal for potential foreign investors and does nothing but further deteriorate the investment climate in the Republic of Moldova," showed the Avia Invest statement.
The representatives of the Civil Aeronautical Authority confirmed that Avia Invest's debt of 22.6 million lei has been completely extinguished.
"We can confirm that the money has been transferred to the accounts of the Civil Aviation Authority and there is no longer any ground for insolvency," said Irina Bodolica, the spokesman of the Civil Aviation Authority.
The Ministry of Finance confirms that Avia Invest has fully paid its debt of 10 million lei to the state budget. Last week, the Government announced the initiation of insolvency proceedings against Avia Invest, the operator of Chisinau International Airport.
Earlier, Avia Invest repeatedly stated that it had enough money to pay off all debts, but could not do so due to blocked accounts ordered by the authorities.
