More and more streets of Hâncești wipe out the darkness. Residents of two sectors will benefit from street lighting at night.

The installation works last for two months. The project was carried out by local authorities, financially supported by the Energy Efficiency Fund.

In total, 20 streets were installed lighting. People say they are no longer afraid of passing the streets alone. 

"We are pleased to have lights on the streets, no more worry about walking alone at night"

Mayor of Hâncești intends to apply the project for the remaining roads.

The project was supported with the financial support of the Ministry of Economy & Infrastructure.

"We have allocated 6 million lei to afford lights in two important sectors, two new sectors of Hâncești city with street light, so we encourage local authorities to submit all the necessary documents to the energy efficiency fund in order to obtain the necessary financial support" Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Octavian Calmîc said.

Approximately a thousand residents living in these two sectors will benefit from night lighting.
