Nearly 120 carabineers from the 1001 Military Unit, who do not have a permanent residence, will receive free housing. The dormitory is nearly repaired, while Ministry of Internal Affairs has inspected the works. It happened after Minister Alexandru Jizdan made an unannounced visit to the unit.

The dormitory will offer free housing to 168 military contractors. The works being nearly finished, by around 90%. Ministry of Internal Affairs spent over 5 million lei on this project.

Alexandru Jizdan also inspected the institution's cafeteria, where at the moment are being fed around 230 soldiers.

Minister of Internal Affairs was surprised that this service is not available to military contractors. Department of Carabineer Troops was requested to solve the issue in the near future.

Alexandru Jizdan also investigated the conditions in which over 400 carabineers are doing sport.

The 1001 Military Unit is located on Doina Militară street. At the moment, the institution has around 250 enlisted soldiers and around 300 military contractors.
