The driver of a minibus transporting parcels in Germany is being investigated by customs officers for the attempt to illegally remove a lot of cigarettes from various brands, marked with an excise stamp of the Republic of Moldova.

The case was recorded at the exit of the country through Cahul customs post. Customs officers found 12,000 cigarettes hidden in spare wheel tires.

Tobacco products have been seized, and the offender bears a fine of 3,000 to 4,500 lei.
