In the first 24 hours since the joint border control was launched at Cuciurgan-Pervomaisc Customs, 15 import declarations were submitted. Since yesterday, goods can be imported through this crossing point. 

According to the Agreement, the first joint border control begun in July 17 2017, would control goods that were only meant for export and re-export operations. Once the next stage begins, economic agents from Transnistria, registered in accordance to the law, will benefit from facilities foreseen by the joint control both on export, as well as import.

For unregistered economic agents, Custom Services offers a simplified clearance procedure for the next three months, valid to July 18. Therefore, unregistered economic agents are requested to gain clearance by the expiration of this offer, to be able to benefit from all foreseen facilities.

Joint border control at Cuciurgan-Pervomaisc is meant to facilitate traffic of goods and transport units. A single control at the borders will stimulate more import-export in the region, namely by reducing the time spend at customs, crossed distance and transportation expenses.

Joint border control at Cuciurgan-Pervomaisc Customs is performed based on the intergovernmental Agreement signed between Republic of Moldova and Ukraine on March 11 1997 and the Protocol signed on November 4 2015.

At the moment, joint border control is performed at six crossing points, all being at borders with Ukraine. Namely: "Criva-Mamalîga", "Larga-Kelmențî", "Briceni-Rossoșanî", "Giurgiulești-Reni", "Cuciurgan-Pervomaisc" and "Palanca-Maiaki-Udobnoe".
