200 Arabs to be expelled from Chisinau's Medical University
200 Arabs from Israel and other countries from the Middle East, who study at the Medical University in Chisinau, are likely to be expelled.
Moldovan prosecutors say they now hold temporary stay permits.
Earlier reports informed that some of them were suspected of setting up illegal migration networks in Moldova. Three students were arrested for forging documents.
According to the investigation, from 2014 through 2016, the criminal network allegedly fraudulently got stay permits for young Israelis and Arabs studying at the Medical University from Chisinau.
The criminal group allegedly forged criminal records required by the Migration and Asylum Bureau.
They managed to counterfeit up to 50 criminal records and used to receive up to EUR5,500 per case.
The guilty now face jail terms of up to seven years.
