The Moldovan Transport Ministry continues to catch and fine drivers illegally carrying passengers.

After ‘raiding’ the airport area and some villages, the inspectors have gone to the Northern Bus Station today. It’s widely known that the number of taxi drivers without licenses there is huge.

Many of them had their number plates removed as others were fined.

Transport Deputy Minister Sergiu Bucătaru says the illicit passenger carrying can be combatted by frequent spontaneous checkups, especially in the places where the concentration of illegal drivers is huge.
