Pavel Filip announces when will be signed agreement with IMF and reception of first tranche
Until the end of 2016, Moldova will have the first tranche from IMF, of total amount of 25 million dollars. The announcement was done yesterday, 17 July 2016, by the prime minister Pavel Filip during the show “Replica” at Prime TV.
The prime minister also declared that the agreement with the financial institution will be signed in October 2016, after the IMF meeting in Washington. Until then, other external funds will be unblocked, as soon as the institution will announce that there is an agreement at the expert group level.
“We do not wait immediately huge amount of money from the International Monetary Fund. In this budget year we are waiting not more than 25 million, which is not a very huge sum for us. The fund is a very serious institution with experts of highest level and in no circumstances the money from IMF will become pocket money for some parties” declared prime minister Pavel Filip.
“After we will have the “staff level agreement” I am sure during August we will receive the loan from Bucharest in amount of 60 million US dollars. From Washington we will have unblocked the money from the World Bank, in the amount of 45 million US dollars. We are talking about the money from European Union, in amount of 45-55 million of euro”.
Regarding the present banking system, prime minister assured that it will be more stable.
“Until the end of 2016, Moldova will have a stable and transparent banking system” said the prime minister.
