Moldova will celebrate Europe's day on May 9
Europe’s day may be set as an official holiday in Moldova.
In its today’s sitting, the Moldovan Government is going to okay a legislative initiative in this respect. According to the bill, the national priority is the European integration and the legislation must be changed to mark this day.
Europe’s day is symbolical for Moldova’s European integration aspirations, and this country must celebrate this days with all the European community.
Europe’s day is marked on May 9 and is also known as Schuman’s day.
In 1950, the French foreign minister, Robert Schuman, proposed a new form of economic and political cooperation in Europe, in order to remove the possibility of waging new wars.
This event is considered to be fundamental in mankind’s history.
