As of September 1, the teachers’ salaries will rise by 8.6 %. Thus, their salaries will reach the economy’s average which is 5,050 lei.

The Parliament passed a bill in this respect in the first reading. 85 million lei will be earmarked from the state budget to pay the rise the first three months.

The bill also stipulates raising subsidies for nursing children to reach 540 lei, 100 lei more than it is now.
