The customs and border police officers uncovered old coins in the baggage of a foreign citizen bound on the plane from Chisinau to Dublin last Sunday.

There were 207 coins dating back to the 17th and 20th centuries in his bag. They were on a Ukrainian, aged 45, who was held up for 72 h.

If found guilty, the man may stay in jail from 3 to 10 years. The coins are now checked up by specialists from the National History Museum.
