PM Filip discusses deepening bilateral cooperation with Finnish ambassador
Prime Minister Pavel Filip has had a meeting today with the Finnish ambassador to Moldova Paivi Pohjanheimo. The dialogue has touched upon results achieved following the Moldovan-Finnish cooperation and upon the possibilities of deepening the bilateral relations.
Pavel Filip has highly appreciated the openness of the Helsinki authorities to intensify the political dialogue with Moldova and has thanked for the technical assistance offered.
The Finnish ambassador has encouraged the Chişinău Cabinet to continue the implementation of the agenda with key reforms and to further go on the European integration course. Paivi Pohjanheimo has reiterated Finland’s availability to offer assistance and expertise to the Moldovan authorities in areas as the customs service and fight against corruption.
The officials have also discussed about the trade and economic relations between the two countries, about enhancing the Finnish companies’ investments in Moldova and about the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.
