Police detained a man on suspicion that he had stolen money and material goods worth over 40,000 lei.

The owner of the car has alerted police. A mobile phone, GPS navigator, laptop, cash and other belongings were stolen after the car parked on Calea Iesilor street, Rascani sector of the capital, according to the owner.

Meanwhile, the individual sold stolen material goods and has spent the money.

The suspect is at the Police Department in Chisinau, being investigated for theft.

He risks imprisonment from two to six years.
