Moldova is among Top 5 European countries with the shortest populations, according to a research carried out by the Imperial College from London.

800 specialists have analyzed statistics from 187 countries.    

By height, the Moldovans are on the 27^th position out of 31 countries from Europe, considered in the study.

The average height of the Moldovan men is 175.5 cm.

The tallest men live in the Netherlands with a median height of 182.5 cm, while the shortest men live in Portugal, where the average height is 172.9.

As for the Moldovan women, their average height is 163.2 cm, the tallest being the Latvian women with an average of 169.8 cm.

The Turkish women are the shortest with a median height of 160.5 cm.
