Moldova's objective of sustainable development, discussed by Pavel Filip and Helen Clark
Pavel Filip met with the United Nations Development Programme Administrator (UNDP), Helen Clark, held on the sidelines of the general debate session of a 71st UN General Assembly.
The main topic of discussion between the two officials was incorporated the adjustment of Sustainable Development Goals in 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda at the national priorities of Moldova.
Referring to the complexity of 2030 Agenda, the Prime Minister Pavel Filip stressed the importance of support UNDP in locating those objectives and targets for achieving them nationally, noting that their implementation will contribute to the Association Agreement Moldova - EU, which is the strategic direction of our country.
In turn, the high official of UNDP, assured the interlocutor of full support in achieving the sustainable development of the country.
Also at this meeting it was made a review of cooperation between Moldova and UNDP. In this context, Prime Minister Pavel Filip has decided to further develop a partnership oriented on visible results, with the example of successful cooperation within the framework of major projects implemented with UNDP in our country. Among them, the "Energy and Biomass" project and the "Support for confidence-building measures" program, which has a positive impact on the populations on both banks.
