Health Minister explains how patients can benefit from compensated drugs
Health Minister Ruxanda Glavan specifies parents must ask for compensated medicines, regardless of their child’s age and of the fact whether he/she is in hospital or at home.
"Certain illnesses will be treated at home, though we earlier used to put suffering patients in hospitals. The parents must know which are the compensated drugs and then should go to receive the free treatment,” she said in a statement.
“Thus we want to solve the problem with the access to medications and to downsize the exaggerated consumption of antibiotics.”
“We have made sure the hospitals have the money to buy the compensated drugs. This regulation will insure the functioning of primary healthcare," Ruxanda Glavan said.
