Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan on 27 September had a meeting with Director of the Department for International Cooperation at Folkuniversitetet of Sweden Ali Rashidi, Moldpres informs.

Ali Rashidi informed that Folkuniversitetet was interested in including Moldova into the list of countries benefitting from European and international projects in diverse sectors, such as employment, improving the education system and professional training.

For his part, Gheorghe Balan appreciated the ascendant of the Moldovan-Swedish relations and praised the substantial support Sweden was providing to the implementation of projects on social, economic and community development in the Transnistrian region.

In the end, the sides agreed to maintain a constructive dialogue, focused on subjects of common interest.
