Electoral campaign HAS BEGUN. Race for position of head of state is started
Today is the start of the electoral campaign for the presidential elections on 30 October 2016. Starting today, the eight candidates registered in the race may start the fight for the position of head of state.
The other eight nominees, who presented the signatures only yesterday, 29 September 2016, will enter the campaign later, as the verification of the subscription lists and the registering of candidates takes up to seven days.
Therefore, in the ballot paper could be 16 candidates. Until now, CEC registered in the presidential race Marian Lupu, Mihai Ghimpu, Iurie Leanca, Andrei Nastase, Ina Popenco, Dmitri Ciubasenco, Maia Sandu, and Igor Dodon.
The electoral campaign will continue until 29 October 2016, when will be the day of silence.
During this period, the nominees do not have the right to offer electoral gifts, to use promotion sports, state symbols, or to appear beside famous persons from abroad.
