A Moldovan gynecologist is to be trialed for neglecting a woman in travail, which later caused a series of illnesses in her newborn daughter.

It all happened on July 25, 2012. As the woman started to give birth, the gynecologist left her unattended for about an hour.

The malformations that the infant got during the travail later led to her death.

The doctor rejects all accusations, but risks three years of jail if found guilty.
