Attempt of goods smuggling stopped by Customs Service
Two Romanian citizens, of 25 and 30-year-old are documented in a case for smuggling in large proportions.
In their cars, mobile teams of the Customs Service inspectors discovered 110 blankets with no origin documents.
The detention took place near the Edinet town, following the verification of information on the activities of a criminal group specialized in smuggling of consumer goods.
According to the data, the value of goods detected is estimated at about 250,000 lei.
A specialized subdivisions of Customs Service is researching the case to identify all persons involved and apply sanctions under applicable law.
