Officials discuss country's achievements in implementing Association Agreement with EU
The October 26th meeting of the governmental commission for European integration chaired by Prime Minister Pavel Filip was focused on the results of the meetings of the EU-Moldova Association Committee and Association Committee in Trade Configuration, held in Brussels on 17-19 October.
Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Daniela Morari and Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Octavian Calmic presented the conclusions and recommendations of European partners agreed by the sides as a result of analysis on Moldova’s developments and achievements in implementing the Association Agreement with EU.
They approached the constructive atmosphere of talks and European partners’ willingness to back Moldova in implementing the Association Agreement, providing expertise and the best practices existing at European level.
At the same time, the rapporteurs referred to the issues related to sectors of speeding up reforms. Among them are reforms in justice, media, strengthening financial-economic stability and speeding up implementation of projects on modernizing energy and transport sectors in line with European standards.
Filip thanked the responsible persons, who presented Moldova at the two meetings, and reiterated the importance for meeting the goals set for the next period by respecting the terms agreed with EU.
