Moldovan Government gets EUR13 mn from EU to perform these reforms
The Cabinet has okayed two draft accords with the EU regarding the development of NGOs and restructuring state administration, in amount of EUR13 million.
The first deal refers to developing the civil society to enable the NGOs to more actively participate in the decision-making process on the background of Moldova’s association with the EU.
The project will be implemented by the EU Delegation to Moldova.
The second deal implies a grant of 5 million euros to be used for the development of the Government’s institutional capacities within the context of implementing Moldova’s association accord with the EU.
The money will be used to carrying out projects in the Twinning program, a mechanism used by countries bidding to join the EU to cooperate with EU counterparts.
The deal also implies strengthening institutional capacities and performing public purchases in fields as: environment, justice, energy, transportation and education. The implementation will be coordinated by the State Chancellery.
