The Chisinau Municipal Council has approved on first reading the draft budget for 2017. According to the document, costs will exceed expected revenues. Thus, budget revenues are of 3 billion 163 million lei, while expenditures will be of over 140 million.

Chisinau City Hall has proposed internal and external sources of funding as a source of money to cover the deficit that will be obtained from the sale of fixed assets.

Municipal budget for next year includes 123.718 million lei for the repayment of external loans.

Over 2 million lei, intended for social spending and over one million lei is planned for communal services, transport and road management.

Over one hundred million lei are for the repair programs and capital investment.
