The chief of the Human Resources service of the jail from Rezina – a town on the Nistru – will be imprisoned for taking bribe.

Aided by a police officer, the man extorted EUR1,000 from a man to get him employed as a guardian in prison.

Following searches, the extorted money was found at the policeman’s home and in the HR manager’s car.

In addition to his jail sentence he will also pay a fine of $6,000 and will be degraded from the rank of a justice major.
