Prime Minister Pavel Filip has convened today, January 6th, the heads of institutions responsible for managing exceptional situations, to assess risks relating to Code Orange of blizzard and snowfall in Moldova.

According to the information presented at the hearing, all national and local roads have been cleaned up, being located 476 equipment units ready to intervene promptly if necessary.

In this context, Pavel Filip has ordered measures to quickly unblock the transport that has been suspended, requiring updated information on the situation on the roads and country's borders crossings.

" This is the period of time where most citizens are traveling abroad and we should be ready to intervene with necessary support" , said the head of the Government. 
 
Also at the meeting, the Prime Minister was informed about the measures taken to reduce risks caused by low temperatures and preparing of territorial subdivisions of Civil Protection and Emergencies, to increase the capacity of special intervention vehicles.

In this respect, the prime minister asked the Ministry of Internal Affairs to provide as much information and asked for maximum mobilization and efficient management of emergency situations.
 
Also, Pavel Filip has asked the Ministry of Health to provide medical assistance and access to all population in all hospitals of the country and the Ministry of Education requested preparation of educational institutions for children who are returning from holidays.
 
The situation in the territory and information will continue to be exchanged between responsible institutions and will be provided to the Operational Center of Emergencies and reported to the Prime Minister.
