Switzerland will help our country reduce non-communicable diseases. The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation will provide nearly 90 million Moldovan lei to implement the first phase of "Reducing the burden of non-communicable diseases" project.
A memorandum to this effect was signed by Minister of Health, Ruxandra Glavan, and the agency's director, Simone Giger.
Thus, citizens will be informed and trained on preventing and combating these diseases, especially those from rural and poor families.
The actions will take place, first in clinics in four regions of the country: Ungheni, Falesti, Cahul and Stefan Voda, and by the end of the year, services will be extended to ten other districts.
Nearly 80 percent of all deaths in our country are caused by non-communicable diseases.
