Australian police have seized the biggest haul of cocaine in the in the country’s history. Almost one and a half ton of cocaine has been found aboard a yacht in the Tasmanian Sea.

Once on the street black market value of the cocaine would’ve been a staggering $312 million. Six people have been taken in, four of them Australian, one, a citizen of the New Zealand and one Swiss.

If found guilty they are expected to be charged with a lifetime sentence. The capture was possible due to a two and a half year long investigation led by the authorities of Australia and New Zealand.

The Australian  police has captured over 11 tons worth of drugs in the past  18 months.
