A manager of a firm from Chisinau was caught in the act as he was trying to bribe a police officer from the internal unit.

The police officer was verifying the canteen of the police academy to which the firm supplies veal.

The suspect offered the police officer $400 not to punish him for forging the sanitary-veterinary certificate.

Now the suspect faces six years in jail and a fine of about $1,000.
