Implementing ¾ from Association Agreement agenda
Moldova has accomplished 75% of the provisions of the Association Agreement with the EU for the last three years.
Foreign Minister Andrei Galbur has made the statement at a sitting of the Civic Forum on monitoring the achievement of the document. They have discussed issues related to the judiciary, environment protection and energy.
"74% is a good figure if we look at it through the prism of the events of the years 2015 and 2016," the official said.
"Over 90% of the measures planned in the judiciary field have been accomplished. We have no arrears. Certain measures unaccomplished refer to the years 2011, 2012, 2013, but they are not timely any longer," said Justice Minister Vladimir Cebotari.
"Referring to the gas area, we’re planning the Ungheni-Chișinău has pipe. We plan it will start being used by the end of 2019," said Călin Negură from the Economy Ministry.
"The association Agreement is good. We’re here to help and support you. Reports referring to the progress in the judiciary, environment and power will be worked out," said the head of the EU Delegation to Moldova, Pirkka Tapiola.
"All these transformations do not yet qualitatively impact the people, but they must be implemented to have the qualitative changes in 2018-2019,” said human rights activist Sergiu Ostaf.
