Man arrested after hitting pedestrian in Balti town

A 36-year-old man has been hospitalized in intensive care after being hit by a car.
The accident occurred last night in Balti town. According to police, the victim was crossing the street on the unauthorised spot.
The 37-year-old driver told law enforcers that the pedestrian has stepped forward suddenly and he didn't manage to avoid the impact. The punishment will be determined by the seriousness of injuries.
In this context, the National Inspectorate Patrol advises people to cross the street on pedestrian crossings and ensure that they are seen by drivers.
