Ukraine is going to shut up the border-crossing points along the Transnistrian region, unless Moldovan customs officers work there.
The announcement was posted on social media by the deputy chairwoman of the committee in charged with national security of the Ukrainian Parliament, Irina Friz.
She says Ukraine insists that Moldovan customs officers should be mobilized at that border, since Kyiv considers the Transnistrian area as Moldovan territory.
She says unless this measure is implemented, her country may allow only access to pedestrians, banning the transportation of goods and the vehicles.
