The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Police will cooperate with the Soros Foundation with the purpose to apply the law more transparently, enhance the trust of the civil society and make more responsible the officers.

"The actions will enhance society’s trust, and signing the trilateral agreement is a step forward in modernizing the police. With the support of the Soros Foundation we will jointly achieve of the objectives on the Police Development Strategy for the years 2016-2020," Interior Minister Alexandru Jizdan said.

The accord also provides the parties’ commitments reform the criminal justice system.
